Labour linking funding with quality and equity

Labour linking funding with quality and equity, rather than ownership is excellent start
Labour Turn-Around Welcomed
“The Labour-led Government is to be congratulated for putting aside ideology and agreeing to fund early childhood education on the quality of the service, not according to who is the provider of the service, or owner of the facility.
Now is an excellent time to apply the same funding principles to the compulsory education sector and fund all school-aged children in an equitable manner, instead of penalising the families of those whose children's education is provided at a privately-owned school”, said Independent Schools of New Zealand Executive Director Joy Quigley..
