Goodness, Gracious Great Balls of Fire!
Children can visit Auckland City Libraries during the school holidays (Friday 14 to Tuesday 25 April) and explore Auckland's volcanic past and natural disasters through games, activities, competitions and much more!
Auckland not only has 53 Volcanoes, but is the only city in the world built on an active volcanic field where the last eruption happened little more than 600 years ago. Kids can learn much more about volcanoes when they join our school holidays programme.
When kids join our programme, Auckland City Libraries will give them the chance to win some cool prizes such as a survival kit containing a torch and batteries, food items, water, a book or movie vouchers sponsored by Plastic Box, Eveready and Metrowater; a copy of either ‘The best of the Zoo’ or ‘Ocean Zoo’ on DVD from Roadshow Entertainment; and a family pass to Rangitoto sponsored by Fullers Ferries!
