Summer heats up for Student Job Search
Summer heats up for Student Job Search
5th November 2007
The busy summer is fast approaching as thousands of the nation’s tertiary students head out of exams and search for summer holiday employment.
Student’s from Universities and Polytechnics access summer employment through Student Job Search (SJS). Many students rely on SJS work opportunities in summer to continue their study. Now is the perfect time to list jobs online and take advantage of students who are keen to work.
Student Job Search reports strong online interest in summer employment with the summer holiday period being the busiest time of the year for the tertiary employment service.
The SJS website is the third largest employment job website based on page impressions, with over 1.5 million page impressions alone in October.
“SJS is particularly strong in the small and medium sized business sector, and increasingly is providing more skilled and technical staff through the wide variety of employers that utilize the service.”
Student Job Search is the third biggest income support measure for tertiary students after student loans and allowances and an incredibly important link for students prior to entering the full-time workforce.
The not-for profit organization is owned by Students Associations and is funded via Government through StudyLink.
