NZLSA Announce 2009 Law Student Leaders

The New Zealand Law Students’ Association has elected its new Executive for 2009.
At the Annual General Meeting on 4 September, Waikato University Law Student President Jeni Fountain was elected NZLSA President for 2009. She will serve together with Desley Horton (University of Auckland) as Administrative Vice President; Grace Brown (University of Otago) as Education Vice President, and Aimee Scofield (University of Canterbury) as Treasurer. A bi-election will be held later in the year for the position of Competitions Vice President.
The NZLSA Executive serves a one-year term running from the annual NZLSA Conference in September each year. The five officers of the NZLSA Executive, together with representatives from each law school in New Zealand comprise the NZLSA’s National Council.

Colin Fife and Kitaj Woodward continue as NZLSA representatives on the Council of Legal Education. Suzanne Locke (University of Auckland) has been elected to the position of LEX Editor for 2009.
The NZLSA Council represents the interests of New Zealand’s more than 6000 law students.
