Industry Technology expert to put the I.T in MIT
Manukau Institute of Technology has appointed industry technologies expert, Mark McNeill to the position of Head of School of Computing and Information Technology.
Mark McNeill joins the Faculty of Business team at MIT led by John Robertson, Dean of the Faculty.
“We are happy to have Mark on board,” says John Robertson. “We pride ourselves on creating job ready graduates and Mark’s experience and understanding of real industry needs will provide a great foundation for developing potential in the arenas particular to business within New Zealand and offshore. ”
Mark McNeill has extensive experience in the tertiary education, technology and health sectors, both in the UK and New Zealand and comes to MIT from Unitec, where he was Associate Head of School: Health Science.
“In the current volatile economic climate, it’s crucial for us to maintain and foster an entrepreneurial spirit and Mark’s experience and industry knowledge will contribute greatly to that,” says John Robertson.
