Girls High School becomes Destination Style
Teenagers are infamous for being on the cutting edge of current fads and trends, constantly on the lookout for something new and different to help them explore and express their burgeoning identity.
Never is this more true than with fashion. Every generation has their own style, but it can be difficult for parents to keep up with the trends of the day, let alone find something they consider appropriate for their teenage daughter to wear that still makes them feel good about themselves.
That is why stylist Stephanie Rumble is holding an evening for mums and daughters at Christchurch Girls High School (CGHS) on Thursday 25th of February.
The event, called Destination Style, will be in two parts; the first will be students modelling the best of winter 2010 fashions followed by teen style tips, helpful pointers for mums and a makeover of two CGHS teachers.
“It will be a fun night that will encourage girls and their mums to talk about fashion and dressing in a way they are both comfortable with, how to highlight their best features, express their unique personalities and be on trend for winter 2010,” says Rumble.
“We have heaps of fantastic prizes and items up for auction including an amazing Trelise Cooper dress,” she says. “This will be a not to be missed night.”
