NorthTec selected as finalist in hospo awards
NorthTec selected as finalist in national hospitality awards for fourth year in a row
NorthTec’s hospitality programme has again been recognised for its training excellence by the Hospitality Standards Institute (HSI) and has been named as one of three finalists in the Excellence in Training – Training Provider (Qualification Pathways). This is the fourth consecutive year that NorthTec has been a finalist in this category. NorthTec has gone on to win the award itself on three previous occasions.
The HSI’s annual awards recognise New Zealand’s best hospitality trainers encompassing a wide range of enterprises, from the education sector through to small businesses and multinational companies.
NorthTec’s Interim Chief Executive, Paul Binney, said that he was delighted that the HSI had once again acknowledged the excellent quality of the NorthTec hospitality team’s training provision.
“Students at NorthTec can be proud of the teaching that they receive here. It provides them with a world-class start in the industry and a great stepping stone towards a successful career.”
The winners of the Annual HSI Awards for Excellence in Training will be announced on 14 June at a gala dinner in Auckland.
One of the category winners will receive the HSI Supreme Award for Training Excellence.
