Paper Plus gives schools a kick start in 2011

Paper Plus is giving local schools the opportunity to kick start 2011 in style with the first ‘Paper Plus My Local Community School Grant’ programme.

There are four $4,000 Paper Plus My local Community School Grant’s up for grabs!

Each Grant will consist of a My Big Deal card pre-loaded with $3,000 for schools to spend at their local Paper Plus store, this could be new books for the school library and/or stationery packs to kick start the year with.

The Paper Plus My Local community School Grant will also include $1,000 worth of local advertising from The Radio Network, that the winning school could use to promote their local school fundraising event.

Paper Plus recognises the role schools play within the communities in which they operate, but we know times are tough. As members of the local community Paper Plus is keen to offer its support through the School Grant programme.

Paper Plus CEO Rob Smith says the ‘Paper Plus My Local Community School Grant’ programme is Paper Plus’ way of helping schools to get 2011 off to a great start.

“As a New Zealand owned and operated company, we’re delighted to be able to offer the ‘Paper Plus My Local Community School Grant’ programme so we can support the excellent work that’s already demonstrated by New Zealand schools,” said Rob Smith, CEO, Paper Plus.

“We are delighted to make these grants available to make things a little easier for our local schools in 2011,” says Mr Smith.

From the 10th of January 2011, Classic Hits and Paper Plus will be searching for the most deserving schools which need a helping hand to kick off the new school year.

To win one of the four ‘Paper Plus My Local Community School Grants’, schools, staff, students and their parents must simply nominate their school online at www.classichits.co.nz explaining why their school deserves to have Paper Plus make the start of the 2011 school year easier for them.

Every week from the 10th January 2011, the local Classic Hits team and Paper Plus store owners will team up to give the winning New Zealand school’s their ‘Paper Plus My Local Community School Grant’. All winning schools will be announced live on Classic Hits and at www.classichits.co.nz
