Minister needs to be made accountable for lack of support
Minister needs to be made accountable for lack of support.
Pat Newman, President of Te Tai Tokerau Principals Association wants Minister and her Ministry to be accountable for their lack of support for schools.
"I along with my colleagues have had an absolute gutsful of being sniped at by our Minister who seems keener to blame everybody else, but her own Ministry and her own policies" he said. "Some effective policies, practices and resourcing to help us with the realities facing many of our so called failing schools would be a good place for the minister to start," continued Mr Newman. "Teachers are fed up with the continual blame from their minister when facing socioeconomic problems not of their making. One only needs to read the scathing report on her Ministry recently released, to know who should be held accountable" Pat Newman stated.
