NZIM Diploma in Management to be offered in Kerikeri
NorthTec has confirmed it will be offering the NZIM (New Zealand Institute of Management) Diploma in Management at their Kerikeri campus for the first time in 2014.
NorthTec Business Programme Leader, Rob Meadows had previously announced the new addition to the Kerikeri Campus Business School at a Northland Business-after-Five (BA5) event hosted by NorthTec Kerikeri in September.
The Diploma is a level 5 qualification consisting of six papers in: Management, Marketing, Communication, Accounting, Applied Management and Leadership. The programme is delivered over two semesters throughout the year.
Three papers are delivered in semester one and three in semester two, with each paper taught on one day-per-week in a four-hour block. This format is ideal for those who are currently employed and who wish to upskill while continuing to work, as the programme allows for either full or part-time study.
Since the Diploma staircases into the Bachelor of Applied Management, students have the ideal opportunity to complete part of their first year of the degree at the Kerikeri campus, with the bonus of school leavers getting the first year FEES FREE (conditions apply).
NorthTec is the Tai Tokerau (Northland) region's largest provider of tertiary education, with campuses and learning centres in Whangarei, Kerikeri, Rāwene, Kaikohe and Kaitaia. NorthTec also has over 60 community-based delivery points from Coatesville in rural Rodney to Ngataki in the Far North.
