Shanghai Theatre Academy film students arrive in Auckland for 48 hours comp
Film students and tutors from the
prestigious Shanghai Theatre Academy are here at Unitec in
Auckland this week preparing for the 48 HOURS Furious
Filmmaking Competition this weekend on 1-3 May.
Unitec Performing and Screen Arts tutors have been mentoring the students during the week, running workshops for them and current exchange students from China will be included the respective teams to assist the visiting Shanghai students this weekend.
This is an annual exchange under a memorandum of understanding between Unitec and Shanghai Theatre Academy. Later in July, six Unitec acting students will travel to Shanghai on a reciprocal trip to study Chinese Opera during their Semester Break.
