James and Wells announces NZIFST conference sponsorship
to champion the food and beverage sector

Committed to enabling Kiwi innovation to succeed on the world stage, James & Wells are proud to announce their sponsorship of the New Zealand Institute of Food Science & Technology Inc (NZIFST) 50th anniversary conference.
With the New Zealand government’s plans to treble the sector’s export market by 2025, managing partner, Kate Wilson, says the value of leveraging intellectual property will be crucial in achieving the greatest return.

“The opportunity to be involved with NZIFST is an exciting new venture. It’s a chance for us to provide the sector with key tools and knowledge that they can utilise to strengthen their wealth potential with largely untapped resources.”
Kate, along with Senior Associate Peter Brown will be presenting at the conference between June 30 and July 2, and are part of James & Wells’ specialised food and beverage team. They will be joined by Partner, Carrick Robinson, Marketing and Business Development Manager, Emily Agnew, and head of the firm’s Asia Team, Johnathan Chen, at the event to answer any intellectual property, commercial and export queries.

Committed to the promotion and advancement of Food Science and Technology, NZIFST is the professional link uniting people in the food industry who apply science and technology to the processing and distribution of foods.
James & Wells are an internationally recognised firm of intellectual property experts. With offices throughout New Zealand, the team is able to obtain, commercialise and enforce intellectual property rights through the expertise of its business strategists, scientists, engineers, accountants, lawyers and commercial specialists.
