MAINZ students to perform in honour of the late David Bowie
MAINZ (Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand) music students present ‘MAINZ on Mars,’ an out of this world gig showcasing music inspired by the original Spider from Mars, David Bowie.
Bowie was a musical chameleon, and ‘MAINZ on Mars’ will be a chance to enjoy a wide array of music styles including ‘one man band’ artist STKS whose contemporary island sound comprises gospel, neo soul-funk and electro-acoustic grooves.
Fresh on the scene is Scotty Fistpump, pop /electronic hip hop soloist who will have your fists pumping and hearts racing!
Other treats include a set by RnB band ‘X’ who share their RnB /funk fusion, punk duo ‘KNOT YET’ and acoustic artists Jake Cropley and John Ansell are also on the bill.
These talented students will also be joined by special guest Punk/Grunge trio ‘PROJECT EMELIA’
Don’t miss this opportunity to see some amazing musical talent, in the spirit of one of popular music true icons.
Show starts at 7pm at The Thirsty Dog Tavern (469 Karangahape Rd) on Monday February 15th- FREE ENTRY!
