ATTENTION NEWS - art, community, social:

ARTBOURNE 2016 – famous artists’ exhibit for sale at Wellington school, Wellesley College, to raise funds for scholarships. 3 – 6 November.

The Wellington art scene is gearing up for the biennial exhibition of local and national artists to be exhibited at boys school, Wellesley, in Eastbourne, in its ARTBOURNE 2016 exhibition.

Headline artists exhibiting for sale include: Stanley Palmer (image attached), Tony Lane, Simon Kaan, Martin Poppelwell, Michel Tuffery (image attached), Sam Duckor-Jones as well as many emerging contemporary artists and sculptors. A total of 75 artists will be exhibited. A curated selection of current students’ art will also be for sale.

This event is well known for bringing together art, pathways to creative careers and education. It is a chance for well-known and emerging artists to exhibit recent works; it inspires students to explore pathways to creative careers; and is an opportunity to raise funds for students who would otherwise be unable to financially access the school.

The artists donate 30% of the exhibition sale proceeds to Promising Futures for Boys scholarship fund. The ARTBOURNE exhibition will be open Friday 4th November from 8.20am to 4.00pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 5th and 6th of November from 11.00 to 4.00pm, with the ARTBOURNE café running onsite.
