Sunday’s NRL rugby league semi-final between the Warriors and the Sharks reached 503,800 viewers on SKY Sport making it the second highest rating programme in the network’s history.
Having beaten the Sharks in Sunday’s NRL preliminary semi-final, the Warriors now face the Sydney City Roosters in the NRL Grand Final which will screen LIVE from Stadium Australia on SKY Sport, Sunday, October 6 from 9pm.
SKY Television’s CEO, John Fellet said, “The Warriors game on Sunday achieved record audience levels for a league game, and it almost beat the highest rating programme ever screened on SKY, which was the second Bledisloe Cup rugby test earlier this year”.
“In the more than 500,000 homes that have SKY TV in New Zealand nearly all people watching television at that time watched the Warriors win against the Sharks,” he said.
