The Herb Federation of New Zealand is delighted to confirm New Zealand Herb Awareness Week is confirmed for 17-23 February 2003.
This is the first national Herb Awareness Week to be held in New Zealand.
The Herb Federation of New Zealand is the umbrella group representing 25 herb societies and numerous individual members.
The aim of New Zealand Herb Awareness Week is to educate the general public on the many aspects of herbs and the theme is `Herbs for Everyone’. The week will focus on four well known and popular herbs found in many New Zealand gardens: Parsley, Mint, Lavender and Basil
Throughout New Zealand, local Herb Societies will be presenting a variety of activities including: Seminars and Workshops with local and national spokespersons Restaurants featuring herbal menus Open Garden Days Library promotions Market Days Children’s activities
New Zealand Herb Week is a focused awareness event promoting the many benefits to be gained by including herbs in everyday use for culinary, gardening, home remedies and crafts.
