A sharp earthquake jolted Wellington and the Hutt Valley shortly after midday today.
The magnitude 4.1 quake occurred at 12.25pm and was loacted within 5km of Hutt Valley at at depth of 25km, according to the Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences Ltd (GNS).
