Please be advised that Investiture ceremonies for recipients of the New Zealand New Year Honours 2004 will take place at Government House in Wellington next week.
The ceremonies will be held on Tuesday, 30 March, Wednesday, 31 March, Thursday, 1 April and Friday, 2 April 2004.
Among the many recipients from all sectors of New Zealand society will be potter Len Castle, Judge Patrick Mahoney, former Secretary of Cabinet Marie Shroff, entertainer Pinky Agnew, actor Ellie Smith, the Topp Twins, fashion designers Karen Walker and Trelise Cooper, endurance athlete Steve Gurney and netballer Anna Rowberry.
Government House will issue additional media advisories on the day prior to each ceremony. These will list the names of the people invested the following day.
