Are you ready to ‘be
noticed’?

The orange arrow hats and fluoro vests are ready but where are the volunteers?
The Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind (RNZFB) still urgently needs thousands of volunteers to hit the streets and collect for the annual Blind Week appeal, 25-31 October.
“While many volunteers have already kindly put aside a few hours to collect we still need many more and the success of the campaign depends on it,” says Dianne Armstrong, RNZFB Group Manager, Regional Fundraising.
“We need to raise $1.1 million this Blind Week to continue providing essential services to blind, deafblind and vision-impaired New Zealanders and the only way we can do this is with the support of volunteers.”
The number of volunteers needed in each area are:
Auckland /
Northland 1800; Waikato / King Country 300; Bay of Plenty
650;
Hawkes Bay Region 200; Wellington Region 1000;
Marlborough / Nelson 170;
Canterbury / Westcoast 2100;
and Otago / Southland 700.
To donate a few hours of your time during Blind Week please call 0800 002 345 to speak to your nearest Regional Fundraising Manager or visit www.rnzfb.org.nz.
The RNZFB is New Zealand’s primary service provider for blind, deafblind, and vision-impaired people. Every year nearly 1,200 New Zealanders become members of the RNZFB.
