Experiments using aborted foetuses abhorrent
News that research scientists at Auckland University are using aborted human foetuses for eye experiments has drawn a sharp response from Voice For Life President, Mrs Josephine Reeves.
“There can be few acts more vile than the buying and selling of human beings for scientific research that, quite literally, has cost them their life,” she says. “
The University defends the experiments on the grounds that an ‘approval process’ has been followed. This approval process would appear to support the practice of aborted foetuses being marketed commercially for scientific research.
“If experiments were carried out using newborn babies that were deliberately killed for this purpose, there would quite rightly be an absolute uproar. Finding a scientific and commercial use for human foetuses, deliberately aborted, is equally abhorrent,” according to Mrs Reeves.
Voice For Life recommends that Auckland University join other organisations worldwide to stop the trafficking in human body parts, sourced from the practice of deliberate abortion.
