Patients Dumped Off Waiting Lists
Patients Dumped Off Waiting Lists
Grey Power is incensed with the “dumping” of patients off the surgical list nationally. The figures released by National’s Tony Ryall also show that that Canterbury DHB sent 4,700 patient back to their GPs. It is false economy as many of those sent back must now be a burden for Pharmac rather than having their problems alleviated by surgery.
The government has allowed the number of Health Administrators to increase to one administrator per Public Hospital Bed and this means they have had to spend $6,000,000 on office space to house the increasing number of bureaucrats. It is a pity the government couldn’t find in its surplus the money to help those dumped off the lists.
Grey Power has a national membership approaching 100,000.
