New Chairman for NZMA
Napier GP Dr Peter Foley is the new Chairman of the New Zealand Medical Association from today (1 May 2007).
Dr Foley chaired the NZMA's GP Council and served as a Board member for four years, and was inaugural Chair of the General Practice Leaders' Forum. He takes over from Dr Ross Boswell, who has ended his two-year term.

Hailing from a medical family, Dr Foley graduated in medicine from Otago University in 1981. He has practised in Hawkes Bay since 1985.
Auckland pathologist Paul Ockelford is the NZMA's new Deputy Chair.
