Paramount Chief
Recovers from Surgery
The Paramount Chief of Ngati Tuwharetoa, Tumu te Heuheu (te Heuheu Tukino VIII) DCNZM is recovering from heart surgery at Waikato Hospital.
Following tests he yesterday underwent heart bypass surgery.
Tuwharetoa spokesperson Te Kanawa Pitiroi said that last night Te Arikinui (the chief) was in a stable condition and that it is expected he would make a good recovery.
