Union and DHBs Reach MRT Agreement
The DHBs and APEX have reached an agreement for MRTs which is going out to union members for ratification.
The union have lifted all strike action and services will return to normal across the seven DHBs
The lead CEOs for this negotiation Chai Chuah and Garry Smith say: “DHBs are pleased with the progress and look forward to hearing the result of the union ratification process.”
“Clinicians throughout the seven affected DHBs will be delighted that the union has lifted the strike notices for Southland, Otago, Canterbury, Hutt Valley, Bay of Plenty, Lakes and Tairawhiti District Health Boards and that services for patients can return to normal.
The union and employers have agreed not to discuss the terms of the settlement until after the union members have had an opportunity to consider it.
