Waikato First Aid Open Day
First Aid Open Day
The Red Cross Waikato Service Centre hosted a First Aid Open Day on Sunday 14th September to celebrate the eighth annual World First Aid Day. Public attendance and participation was excellent as they were shown components of the First Aid program and practiced CPR on the manikins, free face painting and helium balloons were a hit with the kiddies.
The afternoon was capped off with giveaways of a large first aid kit and 10% discount vouchers for selected First Aid Courses. Our winner of the First Aid Kit was 16-month old Ashton Homewood. His mum, Melanee Elson, was thrilled as they’ve just moved into a new home and “it will be great to have a first aid kit on hand with a little one.”
