We Care, We Vote! Election Special Now Live

Carers NZ asked all political parties currently represented in Parliament the same questions, asking what they would do for family carers if they are part of the next government.

Spokespeople from ACT, the Green Party, Labour, National, New Zealand First, and United Future responded to our questions.

Listen to our October 2008 election special at www.familycareradio.net.nz ... extended interviews with all party spokespeople, and comments about their own caring experiences, are available at the site.

This month we also feature musician Iain Gordon, the creator of Family Care Radio's catchy theme music ... home safety tips from ACC in our ActiveWellness 'listen and learn' series ... and a five minute Peace meditation with Anna Filliol.

Watch for our October programme, which will feature interviews with two New Zealand Dames: Dame Kate Harcourt, and Dame Fiona Kidman, who both supported ageing parents in their younger years, while juggling working, caring, and family life.

New five minute features with the NZ Continence Association and Carers NZ wellbeing advisor Wayne Halkyard will also make their debut with Family Care Radio in the October show.

Meanwhile, make your vote count: hear what our political decision-makers have to say about how they would care for your family after November's general election if they are part of the next government!
