Two rescue helicopers attend crash scene near SEDDON
The Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter
and the Nelson Rescue was called this morning at about
08:10am, Monday 8th Dec, to attend a serious car accident
near Seddon.
The accident involved two mini vans and a car, there were multiple injured and the local ambulance service did a great job in stabilizing the injured until the helicopters arrived
Both the Wellington Westpac Rescue Helicopter and the Nelson Rescue Helicopter attended the scene and both transported critical patients to hospital.
The Wellington Westpac Rescue helicopter transported one of the patients with two Wellington Free Paramedics on board back to the Wellington Hospital Emergency Department
The Patient that was transported in the Wellington Westpac helicopter was a 15 yr old female who had been the driver of the car. Her car had been extensively damaged and she has suffered a serious head injury and possible internal injuries
She is currently being assessed and treated at Wellington Public Hospital Emergency department
