New ‘Eat For Keeps’ menu items at Robert Harris

Please find below and attached the latest news from Robert Harris and their new partnership with Eat for Keeps.

This exciting new partnership is designed to deliver GI and low fat foods for consumers by offering healthy food choices!

Examples of the new foods available are attached, as are two of the recipes.

New ‘Eat For Keeps’ menu items at Robert Harris Cafés


Eat For Keeps was born out of a vision to address the current obesity and diabetes epidemics and to help people achieve permanent and healthy weight loss.

The partnership between Eat for Keeps and Robert Harris Cafés is designed to deliver lower GI and lower Fat foods for consumers, as part of a commitment to having healthy food choices available in each of the 52 Robert Harris Cafés throughout New Zealand.

The desired effect is for people to simply feel fuller and satisfied for longer. The menu items developed to-date are designed to be delicious, have wide customer appeal and also be affordable.

The Eat For Keeps menu items are prepared and baked fresh daily at each Robert Harris Café. The new menu items are:


Sweet Soy Muffin
Bran Muffin
Apple & blueberry oaty
Honey seed bar
Vegetable Frittata
Bacon & Egg Pie
Filo Baskets
Ham Cakes
Chicken & Mango Sandwich
Chicken & Toasted Almond Sandwich
Vegetarian Mediterranean Sandwich
A range of healthy salads
 

Robert Harris Café Operations Manager, Tracey Bartlett explains “We are delighted to be involved with Eat For Keeps and the provision of a range of healthy food options is one of our key focuses.

Robert Harris is committed to gradually adapting more of our current recipes to increase the number of low GI, low fat options available.
