Free blood pressure checks in supermarkets for Stroke Awareness Week

Stroke Awareness Week is here – and free blood pressure checks are being offered to shoppers in every region across New Zealand.

Down with Blood Pressure is the theme of Stroke Awareness Week, which runs from 7 to 13 September, and is a call to New Zealanders to get their blood pressure checked. The campaign is being delivered by the Stroke Foundation, in partnership with St John and the Lions.

Stroke is the third largest killer in New Zealand and the major cause of adult disability in New Zealand.

On Saturday 12 September, the Stroke Foundation, St John and Lions will offer free blood pressure checks at the following supermarkets:
