Dr Rabbit helps spread the word on healthy teeth
Brush your teeth twice a day and eat lots of vegetables – that’s what Putaruru Primary School students will tell their parents they learnt at school today.
At a special assembly, organised by Waikato DHB‘s dental therapists with help from Colgate’s Dr Rabbit, the students learned how they can look after their teeth and make them strong.
Dental therapist Kay Rees explained to students how healthy food helps build strong teeth, while too much bad food like chocolate and sugary drinks will make holes.
The students watched a short video showing them how to brush their teeth, and Dr Rabbit gave toothpaste and toothbrushes to each student.
Dr Rabbit’s next stop is Leamington Primary tomorrow morning.
