Petition To Reinstate Commercial Whaling In New Zealand
Commercial Whaling New Zealand (CWNZ) would like to announce a nationwide petition in support of re-establishing commercial whaling in New Zealand Waters:
“I support the legalisation of whaling in New Zealand waters in accordance with International Whaling Commission (IWC) proposals ”
The Petition will be launched in New Zealand’s five major centres on Tuesday the 8th of June 2010.
The purpose of the petition is to encourage debate on the IWC’s commercial whaling proposals, and to promote the benefits of commercial whaling to a wider audience. CWNZ believes that the Legalisation of whaling would create massive economic benefits for the New Zealand Economy as well as providing the incentives to sustain or increase whale numbers in domestic waters.
