Patient updates Waikato Hospital

The 60-year-old Piopio farmer involved in the accident below is in a stable condition in Waikato Hospital's emergency department and expected to be admitted to a ward soon.

His wife wants to thank the Te Kuiti Ambulance Staff, Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance and friends who have stepped in to assist with docking which got underway on their farm this morning.

The two Auckland girls admitted to Waikato Hospital yesterday after an accident in Kawerau are both in a stable condition in a children's ward. The family of the girls aged 4 and 6, decline requests to talk to the media.
