Statement from Kay Wolfe's family
Roger Wolfe, the
husband of Kay Wolfe, the 44 year old Morrinsville cyclist
in critical condition in Waikato Hospital's intensive care
unit authorised the following release to the media. He is
concerned there has been a lot of misinformation and
speculation which has distressed him, his family and
friends.
"Our thoughts are with those families who lost their loved ones and to all the families affected by this tragedy.
"Speculating about what happened at the scene is inappropriate. We'll leave that to the police to investigate.
"Kay has been a really good blood donor for many, many years. She's getting every bit of it back now.
"I'd like to thank all my friends and family for their love and support.
"My thanks also to the emergency services at the scene and to all the medical staff here at Waikato Hospital. Thank you to the media for your understanding - I'd rather not say anything at this time and will instead concentrate on Kay and her recovery, our three children and the farm."
