NZ Medicines Formulary to Benefit Health Professionals
NZ Medicines Formulary to Benefit Health Professionals & Patients
“Health professionals and patients are set to benefit from the introduction of a New Zealand Medicine’s Formulary,” Medicines New Zealand General Manager Kevin Sheehy says.
Announced recently by Associate Health Minister Peter Dunne, the Formulary is designed to be the first point of reference for health professionals wanting information on medicines.
“Providing concise, independent and evidence-based medicines information and guidance on best practice, the Formulary will be a key step in supporting the health professionals who prescribe, dispense and administer medicines,” Mr Sheehy says.
“As the industry association representing innovative pharmaceutical companies we congratulate Minister Dunne for his commitment to the Formulary’s development and welcome this step towards achieving better health outcomes for New Zealand. “
