Date: Monday 3 July, 2012 - 2.50pm
The parents of Jaryd Doughty, 19, of Pukekohe, the sole survivor from a crash near Gordonton, Hamilton last week have this afternoon issued a statement offering their condolences to the families of the three teenagers killed in the accident.
Jaryd remains in a critical condition in Waikato Hospital's intensive care unit.
His Rosehill High School friends Liam Jackson, 18, Alan Jones, 18, and Ashley Foley, 19, died when their Nissan Sentra left the road and hit a tree while travelling home to South Auckland from Hamilton, about 5am on Friday.
Jaryd's parents said their thoughts and prayers were with the boys' families.
They thanked emergency services personnel at the scene including police, fire and St John. They also thanked medical staff at Waikato Hospital's emergency department, theatre and intensive care unit for all they have done and continue to do for their son.
