Kiwi Men to Check Their Warrant of Fitness
Kiwi Men to Check Their Warrant of Fitness
New Zealand, 7 June 2013 -
This June Caltex is asking Kiwi men to start looking
after their health in the same way they often look after
their cars
Caltex invite Kiwi men to complete the “What’s Your Score” survey and find out their annual health score; a short health check similar to a warrant of fitness. This simple checklist is available from all Caltex Service Stations and online at: menshealthweek.co.nz
“Men need to look after their health like they often look after their cars,” says Jeremy Clarke, Public Affairs Manager of Chevron New Zealand. “It’s about taking simple but essential steps such as filling out the Men’s Health Week checklist and seeing your GP for regular check-ups.”
Men’s Health Week encourages New Zealand men to proactively manage their health. With one Kiwi man dying every three hours of a preventable illness, such as heart disease, Caltex is driving home the importance of health checks.
“Caltex is absolutely committed to helping remedy the sobering statistics and to look after our Kiwi men,” says Mr. Clarke.
“This is now the fourth year we have had Caltex as a key partner of Men’s Health Week. The work they do for promoting men’s health awareness, not only to their customers but also to their staff nationwide, is impressive,” said a spokesperson from the Men’s Health Week campaign. “We are very pleased to have Caltex supporting this initiative.”
Men’s Health Week runs from June 10 to June 16 this year. Further information can be found at: menshealthweek.co.nz
