New Jenny Craig one-of-its-kind TVC hits the airways
For the first time ever, Jenny Craig's latest marketing campaign announcing Stephie Tauevihi losing 35 kilos features a 60 second spot as part of the TVC campaign.
The TVC is unscripted, unedited, and depicts the raw emotion Stephie experienced when she met her former (larger) self.
The warts-and-all TVC is part of the activity celebrating celebrity ambassador Stephanie Tauevihi’s goal weight achievement, having dropped 35 kilos on the Jenny Craig weight loss program. The first phase of the campaign went live on 16 June and the new 60 second spot will go to air in New Zealand on Sunday 8th September.
Grant Goodwin, Head of Marketing at Jenny Craig New Zealand and Australia, explains that the TVC is unique in capturing real, genuine, emotion on camera - a rarity amongst celebrity campaigns.
“We couldn't be prouder of Stephie – she’s been a true rolemodel throughout her weight loss journey with Jenny, sharing her experience in a raw and sometimes confrontingly honest way.
“On the set of our latest commercial, we let the cameras roll while Stephie met the “old Stephie”, and the result was so captivating that we felt an obligation to share it – it’s truly powerful viewing!”
In the TVC Stephie reflects on her regrets for not losing weight sooner, and credits Jenny as saving her life.
“Once I lost the initial 20 kilos I started to care about myself. I became more confident and wanted the feeling to continue so I decided to lose more and more, and now I am a new person…I feel happy and proud and I honestly feel that Jenny Craig has saved my life.”
