Island Mishap
Island Mishap
Today at 2:20pm, the TrustPower TECT rescue helicopter was called to Rangiwaea Island in the inner harbour where a 51 year old female was hit on the head by tractor forks. The forks came dis-lodged on the tractor boom and fell resulting in a bad head laceration. The accident could have been a lot more serious but appeared to be a glancing blow. Due to the location, the helicopter was required and flew the patient to Tauranga hospital for further treatment.
