The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Otorohanga at approximately 2pm on Thursday afternoon to retrieve a 37 year old man injured while working on a mower.
The helicopter was dispatched as initially the man was thought to have potentially life threatening injuries. Fortunately the man’s injuries were found to be less serious although he still suffered a broken arm and lacerations requiring medical attention. He was treated by St John staff at the scene before being transported by the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter which had landed nearby at the Otorohanga Holiday Park.
