Life Flight Transports injured horse rider from the Castlepoint
At 12:30pm this this afternoon the Life
Flight Trust was responded to Castlepoint on the Wairarapa
Coast to a horse rider who had been kicked by a
horse.
Life Flight responded in the Westpac Rescue Helicopter with a Wellington Free Ambulance Paramedic on board.
A horse rider in her teens had been riding her horse when the horse next to her kicked out and struck her in the leg. The rider suffered lower leg injuries.
The Helicopter was able to land in the paddock next to the injured rider. An ambulance from Masterton was on scene and treating the Patient when the Helicopter arrived.
The patient was transported to Masterton Hospital Emergency Department with moderate injuries to her leg.
