Teen victim of Edgecumbe crash, transported
The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Whakatane to retrieve the 17 year old victim of yesterday’s Edgecumbe car accident that saw six people seriously injured.
The helicopter was called to transport the teen to Waikato Hospital at around 6.30 pm last night to undergo further urgent treatment. He had sustained a serious head injury in the accident but was reported to be in a stable condition.
