Brooke Fraser’s Designer Outfits to Be Used for Fundraiser
Brooke Fraser’s Designer Outfits to Be Used for a Stylish Starship Fundraiser
Brooke Fraser has always had a trendsetting style, but the designer threads she’ll be donning for her upcoming New Zealand tour are all for a good cause.
Brooke has partnered with Juliette Hogan, Zambesi, and Stolen Girlfriends Club in the creation of three unique looks which she will wear during her concerts this month. The custom-designed pieces will then be auctioned on Trade Me to support the Starship Foundation.
All proceeds from the sale of Brooke's tour outfits will go towards much-needed items for Starship's Newborn Intensive Care Unit, which admits approximately 1000 babies every year.
Andrea Newland, General Manager of Marketing, Communications and Partnerships at the Starship Foundation was delighted when Brooke came up with the idea of helping the neonatal unit.
“We are so appreciative of Brooke’s support of Starship. Many premature and unwell babies and their families will benefit thanks to the considerable time, energy and talent being put into this fundraiser by Brooke, Juliette Hogan, Zambesi, and Stolen Girlfriends Club.”
With her own bun in the oven, Brooke is delighted to be given the opportunity to help in the fundraising efforts for the life-saving unit.
“The work that Starship does is simply amazing and particularly close to home given my own situation. To team up with my favourite New Zealand designers in a creative collaboration for such a worthy cause has been awesome. Juliette, Liz at Zambesi and Marc at Stolen Girlfriends Club were straight on board with the idea and didn’t hesitate to generously lend their time, resource and creativity to bring attention to Starship’s work for our littlest and most vulnerable citizens.”
Music and fashion have a strong history of collaboration and the chance to work alongside Brooke and the Starship Foundation was too good to pass up for New Zealand’s premier designers.
This will be Brooke’s first time working alongside Starship; her previous record of philanthropy has seen her supporting World Vision in Cambodia, Tanzania, and Rwanda, and Charity:Water in Ethiopia.
Brooke’s New Zealand tour kicks off on June 24 in Christchurch, before heading to Wellington on June 26, and wrapping up Auckland on June 27.
