Woman airlifted from Murupara
The Rotorua based BayTrust Rescue helicopter was dispatched to Murupara, 55 km SE of Rotorua, at midday on Saturday to provide assistance to a woman having a serious medical event.
Ambulance from Rotorua were also despatched.
Fire service set up a landing zone in a local sports field of the chopper to land in.
Once stabilised the 28 year old woman from Ruatahuna was airlifted to Rotorua Hospital in a serious condition.
