Busy day for the Rescue Helicopter
The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Kawhia this afternoon, to retrieve a 69 year old man who suffered an unconscious collapse while golfing. Following that, the helicopter went to Putaruru to retrieve a 23 year old with post-partum bleeding. Then late this evening, the helicopter was called to meet an ambulance in Tokoroa to expedite the transfer of a 58 year old man with a suspected cerebral bleed; however, due to weather, the helicopter diverted to Putatruru to execute the pickup. All patients were transported to Waikato Hospital.
