The Neonatal Trust Supports ‘Missing Type’
The Neonatal Trust is supporting The New Zealand Blood Service ‘Missing Type’ campaign.
Neil O’Styke of The Neonatal Trust said “The Neonatal Trust jumped at the chance to be involved in the campaign as blood plays such a vital role for neonatal babies”.
O’Styke added “As well as removing the ‘a’ and ‘o’ letters from our logo and name on Social Media we also used the statistics from a particular journey to highlight just how important blood donations are. The neonatal journey in question involved a total of nine blood transfusions”.
“Raising awareness of the incidence of neonatal care, and all that it involved, is a key focus of ours. It made sense to support this great campaign of the New Zealand Blood Service and do our bit to increase the number of donators”.
“It’s an issue which impacts a significant amount of our population, and we are very keen to do more for the families going through a stressful journey filled with much anxiety”.
