Standing Strong Against Measles - Together: Over 100 Vaccinated At Stokes Valley Clinic. Naenae Clinic Set For Sat 8 Nov

Stokes Valley, Lower Hutt — InformationNz is proud to share the success of its recent measles vaccination clinic held on Saturday, 1 November 2025 at the Stokes Valley Hub, where over 100 people were vaccinated during the four-hour event. The clinic brought together families, health professionals, and volunteers in a coordinated effort to protect the Pacific, Maori and wider community from the spread of measles.

“We’re thrilled with the turnout and grateful to everyone who helped make this clinic a success,” said Muliagatele Bella Bartley, Chief Executive of InformationNz. “The turnout speaks volumes—this event met a real need in the community, with families showing up in numbers. Vaccination is a vital step in protecting our families, especially our children, and we’re proud to support our community in staying safe and healthy.”

The clinic offered health education materials in a welcoming, inclusive environment. Local volunteers played a key role in outreach and hospitality.

With the Government launching Measles Immunisation Week from 3–7 November, InformationNz will support this by continuing its education workshops in churches and community hubs, and standing up community measles vaccination hubs in the community, providing trusted information and culturally grounded health messaging.

The next community measles vaccination clinic will take place on Saturday, 8 November 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Te Mako Naenae Community Centre, 27 Hillary Court, Naenae.
