CAA Director accepts report findings
The Director of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) John Jones said today that he accepts the findings of the independent review of the CAA released today and the actions taken by the Authority in response to the review.
“I acknowledge that I made errors of judgement and understand that there was a conflict of interest when the then CAA inspector undertook work on behalf of a company that was under investigation by the CAA..
“I will be working closely with the Authority to implement the necessary changes and ensure that public confidence in the CAA is retained,” said Mr Jones.
All further comment on the issue will come from CAA Chairman Rodger Fisher.
