Brash wants to hurt New Zealand as base for film making
National leader Don Brash today admitted that he wants to hurt New Zealand's chances of being the location of big budget film and television productions, says Progressive leader Jim Anderton.
"The National Party's anti-New Zealand position has become even clearer today with the Sunday Star Times reporting that any future National-led government would abolish the Large Budget Screen Production Grant scheme," the Progressive leader said.
"The scheme is designed to encourage valuable investment in New Zealand, the type of investment that creates opportunities for employment and the learning of new skills for individuals, with the added advantage of raising the whole country's visibility on the world stage," Jim Anderton said.
