Anderton gets overseas call from Rod Hide
Anderton asks overseas caller Rod Hide to phone again
Progressive leader Jim Anderton is asking if the overseas caller called Rodney Hide who rang him earlier this afternoon could please call him again.
"My wife Carole passed the phone to me quickly this afternoon because she knows that toll calls can be expensive from overseas and Rodney Hide had asked to speak to me.
"The long call from Mr Hide appealed quite strongly to me to give my party vote to ACT but every time I tried to ask a question the foreign-based Mr. Hide just kept on talking without interruption.
"If anyone speaks to Mr Hide this afternoon, could you please ask that he call me again as I really have a lot of unanswered questions about his party's proposal to bankrupt the government with massive overseas borrowing in order to deliver unsustainable income tax cuts to people living in Epsom and Remuera," Jim Anderton said.
