Turner pleased with Govt response to CYF campaign
United Future deputy leader Judy Turner says she's pleased with the response – so far – of the Government towards her campaign to have an independent complaints authority established to cover the Child, Youth and Family Service.
Under questioning from Mrs Turner in Parliament today, the Minister, Ruth Dyson, responded positively to the suggestion and said a 'complaints pathway' review was underway to see if improvements can be made to the way complaints against CYFS are dealt with.
The Minister promised to consult with Mrs Turner on any potential changes.
